Arrividerci Roma
October 1st, 2009
I’ve just got back from Rome, where I spent the last few days launching a new project — a redesign of a weekly news magazine called Internazionale.
We shipped the first issue at around 9.30 last night, and it’s out in the kiosks tomorrow. We had a great time with the editorial team, a tight group of smart young people who are very passionate about the magazine. We also managed to grab a few hours to be tourists and visit some of my old haunts from when I was living in Rome and working at Colors, including the great pizza at Da Baffetto, and the wonderful ice cream at Giolitti.
Internazionale is a really interesting magazine, and very successful too, with a steadily growing circulation. I will post pages and more details after the issue is published.
They are also hosting a big journalism festival in Ferrara in Northern Italy this weekend, and I’ll be speaking about the redesign there on Sunday, so do come along if you’re in the area.
